Simon Christensen aka Psymun is a 21 year-old beat maker and producer currently living in St. Paul, MN. Growing up in Wisconsin on a healthy diet of The White Stripes, Outkast, and all things (Mad)villainous, Psymun began producing beats in his bedroom while his high school classmates were focused on booze pick-ups and varsity sports. To date, he’s produced for rappers including Co$$, Scienze, Prizm, Rich Garvey, and many others. SSV3, a full length LP with Damacha, released on May 2nd, is Psymun’s most fully realized effort to date and a project that’ll make heads take notice.

In a time where getting major attention means paying famous rappers for verses, Psymun hopes to see success due to his creativity and originality. “I feel like a lot of my favorite jazz artists collaborated with each other back in the day because they wanted to, for creative purposes, ya know?” he expresses his desire to recapture that old-school spirit within his music. “I’m working with artists who I really want to work with, who are some of my favorites; Rich, Damacha, Co$$, Grizzly Wolf, K. Raydio, etc.” Psymun also has childhood dreams of working with some his all-time favorites. “Like Justin Vernon, MF Doom, a lot of others. I have a list of dream collaborations, all the artists on it have made music that like, has a special place in my heart or something. It’ll happen. One day.”

Emmeric Konrad spent 4 years in the United States Marine Corps before going on to earn a BFA from Otis/Parson’s when it was still in the trenches of MacArthur Park. Since graduating from Otis his work has been shown in the United states , Germany and Japan. Emmeric’s work has been compared to the edgy pop artists of the late seventies and the early eighties, but with his own personal vision, at once perverse and strangely satirical. Inspired by Walt Disney’s humorous creations and by the intensity of such artist as Otto Dix, Goya and De Kooning, Konrad gravitates to the darker side of the human psyche. With childlike images of pigs, dogs, mice, and people replete with exaggerated attributes, Konrad’s paintings are happily manic expressions of equally innocent and painfully troubled characters interacting and willfully acting out.He delights in bringing his unique inner world to the canvas.

Hanging With Tydi In Hollywood.

We met up with Australia’s number one dj Tydi in Hollywood to talk about his hot new single and discussed if not using turtables makes you a less of a dj check it out.

Radii-whats edm like in australia?

Tydi- its massive its all over the world its fantastic i just came from playing a full tour in australia called the future music festival we had 45000 people at each show in every major city in the country it was pretty crazy and it goes to show how big edm is over there.

Radii- so what made you get into djing?

Tydi- it was the music when i was younger like 15 i was into bands things like that when i heard edm music i was captivated by the idea that you can make and produce it all your self. I was actually a drummer in a rock band but it was not going so well because you have to rely on 3 other people to be just as motivated as you and i thought it was pretty cool that i can make all this music on a computer . i loved the music so i started producing and writing electronic music first then in a few months. i thought ok how do you performing turns out djing is the way to do that.

Radii- what where some of the records you where listing to that opened up your mind and made you get into edm.

Tydi- along time ago there this artist called bt he’s american artist he’s really well known for doing underground electronic music thats what got me into it.

Radii- how do you describe your sound?

Tydi- i try not pigeon hold my self to a genre i find that my style changes nearly with very song i do my last album shooting stars every track is different theres a chill out song theres a dub step influence ,house,progressive but i think what carries through all my music thats its quite melodic. I like music with integrity and a bit of thought into it so yeah you can say that a lot of the new stuff i’m doing now is verging towards a little more pop. I got a new track called nothing real matters coming out april 9th and that track is my most pop track so far but i still like to think its a quality song i still love that record its not like i put out a record i don’t love .

Radii-so whats the new single like and what do you we expect to hear?

Tydi- i got so many tracks on the go at the moment the new single is the big room house record really cant wait for it and hopefully following that there will be another single or two. I haven’t decided which ones and definitely a album this year i been working with a lot of songwriters using different artist i just did did a track with jessica Sutter from pussy cats doll and this girl named angely who’s a fantastic artist from canada and i love her stuff we done a few tracks together and i’m really liking them yeah i just been working on a lot of stuff a artist i like the ready set i did a track with him called die this way and i’m not sure what the plans are but this could be album stuff it just depends how things go this year. .

Radii- so what type of equipment are you using for production?

Tydi- I’m like a full geek i use logic pro digital plug ins waves plugs lots of synths that i worked on for years.

Radii – so you like using logic better than prortools or cubase?

Tydi-i started out on cubase a long time ago i tried fruity loops and reason and logic is really the one i got attached to protools is more for recording but logic has its advantages on detail of production but im sure protools is good as well but for me i like logic.

Radii- so theres been some talk about djs not being real djs because they don’t use turntables how do you feel about that?

Tydi- i stared on turntables and i cant deny it they are so much fun to work with because the feeling under your hand is incredible but unfortunately if you want to what i do and do it well you cant use turntables because all the tracks i make i sometimes make them maybe 3 days before the show if i edit them how am i going to get them on vinyl sure you can get serato but to me at that point you all ready lost the magic of the turntable anyway so you might as well use cdj’s where you can rock out with a usb stick so i like the digital age.

Radii- so whats next for you any new tour dates?

Tydi- yes all my tour dates our on my web site tydi.com theres crazy shows so many of them i cant remember on the list but towards the end of the year i’m going everywhere america ,canada i’m heading back to asia Philippines ,china and some shows in europe its all there on my web site.

There is a lot more to me than meets the eye! Besides modeling, I’m also an artist & fashion designer, and I work as a freelance makeup artist as well. I’m a quadruple threat,…Haha! Other than that I’m just a down to earth girl that loves to have a good time & live the good life

What does a typical day look like for you?

I’m always on the go!!! My schedy can be pretty crazy sometimes and each day is a new adventure. Weather I’m attending castings, on the set of a photo-shoot or doing hair & makeup, my life is nonstop!

How old were you when you got your start in the modeling industry?

What’s the worst job you’ve had?

I had to shoot with a live tiger once & even though there were 4 trainers there to control the situation, it was still very scary! They were like “don’t act scared, the animal can sense your fear” and I’m like are you kidding me!? The thing didn’t stop growling the whole time & I had to stand there & act sexy! HaHa!

What was it like shooting for radii?

Shooting with Radii was so much fun! I just loved the shoes, I seriously want every pair!!! The whole team was amazing & Lisa Boyle is one of my favy photographers, she just rocks!

Do you ever get nervous or uncomfortable on the job?

I’ve been modeling for so long now, that I’m pretty comfortable with myself & don’t really get nervous, But we do all have our moments!

What do you do when you have free time?

I’m a total health nut & love to workout. I exercise everyday and it’s a big part of my routine.

I am happiest when I am able to be…

creative. I’m a total artist & love to paint, draw, sew, cook, just about anything that allows me to get my creative juices flowing.

Salvador Rosette (born January 08, 1983), better known by his stage name Sunny Rose (pronounced /ˌSuh-Nee -Roze’/,), is an Mexican/American hip-hop recording artist and writer from Italian descent . He first gained notoriety from entering VH1’s Save The Music contest in 2004, in which over 12,000 artists had submitted original music. Out of the 12,000 submissions Sunny Rose finished in the top 30. This motivated Sunny Rose to take his music career to new height’s by recording endless music and networking through out California at concerts , conventions , social events and making appearances on local radio stations in pursuit of gaining exposure to solidify himself as a recording artist . With his hard work and dedication to his music it gave him the opportunity to become an opening act for well known recordings artist such as Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony , Glasses Malone, Too Short , Roscoe Umali, Mr. Capon-E , Lil’ Rob, E-40 and Wyclef Jean.

Radii – What up Sunny Rose so tell me you don’t get too many cats representing Bakersfield tell me a little something about Bakersfield?

Sunny Rose – Well we definite got a really good shot out there a lot of people on the grind the main thing is we are just trying to represent for California and the whole western region but not just the western region but for hip hop period so I think we are in a very good position right now and me being one of the people in the forefront I think we are ready for that power move.

Radii – So tell me about your rap style?

Sunny Rose – My rap style is classic hip hop mixt with a little new school feel I love old school hip hop I was definitely raised on the Nas, Scarface, Tribe Called Quest, Pharcyde,Wu Tang, Ice Cube and Dj Quick I’m pretty much just a blend of what I grew up on so my favorite rapper is Scarface even though I’m from California. I just love the fact that he’s honest about his music I feel that I could bring that to the table as well whether its gangster rap or hip hop its just honest music.

Radii – So what’s the inspiration for the new album and what do we expect to hear?

Sunny Rose – I got S.O.A 2 dropping march 29 and the inspiration for that was just being humble honest and just sharing my struggle with everybody I feel I’m on the road to greatness but at the same time I never forget where I come from and I want people to share my struggle so that way we all could win so when they see me on that big platter and when they see me at the Grammys in 5 years they can say I seen that from jump.

Radii -Who’s on production on this album?

Sunny Rose – I got my boy Moe-c from NY Dj Korbit from queens Able Valdez from phoenix Arizona I got DK from Dallas Texas I pretty much got production from all over the nation and I’m glad a lot of people participated on the tracks we are still working I’m actually in the studio right now working on more material right now we on overdrive the grind don’t stop.

Radii – Give me your top 5 mc’s?

Sunny Rose – Sunny rose sunny rose sunny rose sunny rose sunny rose hahahaah.

Radii – So where can we see you at any shows lined up?

Sunny Rose – We are working on some shows right now working on a couple of names out there we just trying to find the right venues names like Ghost Face is out there Kid Ink even legends like Houdini Mc Lite so I’m trying to be every ware expect to be seeing a lot of me and definitely rocking these fly ass kicks I appreciate what you guys do and I’m a big fan of the sneakers for you to reach out to me I appreciate that.

Alec Monopoly is the unidentified street artist speaking through the iconic board game character of the Monopoly man. Alec’s art connects the medium with the message on lampposts, billboards, and galleries throughout the world. Initially his work was fueled by concepts of wealth, excess, and the ingredients of an economic collapse, his art has since evolved to explore ideas of society and selfhood at large.
